In recent years, the world of mobility has undergone an unprecedented transformation.
The strong technological progression has enabled new forms of transport and services, and recent economic, social, and environmental changes have brought substantial shifts in people’s lifestyles. The combination of these factors inevitably places the mobility sector at the center of an epochal transformation.

New paradigms

In light of these changes, does it still make sense to regulate and finance the new world of mobility through the old paradigms? How sustainable are the previous business models and service models? Should the planning and programming of local authorities and mobility agencies be revised? Should the industrial plans of transport operators and infrastructure managers be changed? Are the old collected data still useful? Are Big Data reliable? And how can they be used?

Tools to understand reality

To find answers to these questions, we produce dashboards based on an in-depth analysis of mobility through data produced by car black boxes (FCD – Floating Car Data). Interactive maps and charts make it possible to compare mobility indicators, performance, and demand, referring to different periods. The detailed comparison of 14 metropolitan cities in Italy highlights the change (or persistence) of the most relevant aspects of daily mobility.
